The part that keeps a home dry is everything beneath: a sound deck, the right underlay, clean flashing at every valley and penetration, and eavestrough that actually carries the water away.

What we do
A roof replacement is a sequence — each stage protecting the one after it. Here's how a full re-roof comes together.
Strip the old shingles and underlay down to a clean deck, and haul the debris away. No new roof goes over a roof that's failing underneath.
Inspect the sheathing for soft, rotted or delaminated spots and replace what's gone. The deck is the foundation everything else fastens to.
Lay the water-shedding membrane — with ice-and-water protection at the eaves and valleys where Fraser Valley rain pools and backs up.
Course the field shingles up from the eave, cap the ridges, and vent the attic so moisture has a way out. Clean lines from gable to gable.
Seal every transition — chimneys, skylights, walls, vents. Flashing is where most leaks actually start, so it gets done properly, not caulked over.
Hang or re-hang the gutters and downspouts to carry the water off the roof and away from the foundation, then leave the site clean.
