The little shop with a wall of soft friends.

Splash Toy Shop is a family-run independent toy shop tucked into Steveston Village — beloved for its floor-to-ceiling wall of plush and a shelf of wooden toys chosen with care. This is an unsolicited draft website from X9 Lab Media; the photos are placeholders we'd swap for the shop's own.

A Steveston fixture

In a heritage fishing village, a shop that runs on joy.

Steveston Village is the kind of place you walk slowly — wooden boardwalks, salt air, family shops that have been there long enough to feel like neighbours. Splash Toy Shop fits right in. It's family-run and independent, and it has quietly become the village's go-to for the kind of toys you actually keep.

Step inside and the first thing you meet is the wall — soft, smiling, character-after-character plush stacked from the floor up. Past it, the shelves change pace: wooden blocks and animals, board games and puzzles, the curated, quality-over-plastic things a family chooses on purpose.

"Toys worth keeping" — that's the whole idea. Fewer, better, joyful things, picked by a family that knows the difference.

The wall of plush

The soft friends Splash is known for.

Generations of children have pointed at this wall. It's the heart of the shop — a curated crowd of cuddly characters, each one chosen for the kind of cuddle that lasts. Parents come for one and leave having met a whole family of them.

Wooden toys

Built to outlast a childhood.

Across from the plush, the shelves turn to wood: blocks, animals, trains and stackers with the heft and grain of toys made to be handed down. This is the quality-over-plastic side of Splash — quiet, durable, and beautiful enough to leave out on the shelf.

Swap these for the shop's own wooden range — we'd photograph the real shelves.

Games & puzzles

And then there's the games table.

Board games and jigsaw puzzles for the long evenings and the rainy afternoons — the family-night kind that get played until the box corners go soft. Another shelf of "worth keeping", waiting for a winner.
