The boutique on West 4th
Most opticals sell you glasses. We help you find your face.
Walk into Niche and the wall doesn't look like an optometrist's office. It looks like a gallery of small, strange, beautiful objects — frames in colours you didn't know glasses came in, shapes that are unmistakably architectural. This is a boutique for people who think eyewear is the most-worn accessory they own, and who'd rather it said something.
The hook is the Theo wall. We carry the largest Theo Eyewear collection in town — the Belgian house that treats frames like sculpture, with a wink. But the real work happens at the bench, where the optician fits each pair by hand so it sits level, light and exactly yours.
"The right loud frame is usually the one that suits you best — you just have to be talked into trying it."
We're not a chain, and the experience isn't a transaction. You'll spend time trying things on. We'll pull frames you'd never reach for. And when you land on the one, it'll be fit to your face — not just sold off a peg.
