Slow food, hot off the comal.

El Caracol Cafe is a cash-only Salvadoran pupuseria โ€” masa pressed by hand, griddled until it blisters, finished with curtido and salsa roja.

The hidden gem

A pupuseria the neighbourhood keeps to itself.

"The kind of place you find once and tell everyone about."

El Caracol Cafe earned its reputation the honest way โ€” plate by plate, on a corner of Victoria Drive. Today the only way to find it online is a single Facebook page. This concept gives the food, and the people who line up for it, a proper home.

No invented history here. Just the food, the location, and the welcome โ€” rendered the way a 4.5-star room deserves.
