A freshly paved interlocking-stone driveway leading to a home

Paving Stone & Hardscaping · Langley · Surrey · Vancouver

Set in stone,
laid by hand.

Patios, driveways, walkways and retaining walls built on a proper base and finished to hold their line for the long haul.

Serving Langley, Surrey and Vancouver, BC. We lay interlocking pavers, natural stone and segmental retaining walls — base prep to final seal.

The Work

A good patio is mostly the part you never see.

Country Paving Stone is a paving-stone and hardscaping company working across Langley, Surrey and Vancouver. We build the outdoor surfaces a home leans on every day — the driveway you back out of each morning, the patio you sit on through the summer, the walkway from the gate to the door, and the walls that hold a yard's grade in place.

The look is the easy part. What keeps a paver patio flat and a driveway from rutting is the work underneath: the right depth of compacted base, a true screed, tight joints and a clean edge restraint. We build the base first, then lay the stone — so the surface still sits true years from now.

How We Lay · The Atlas

From bare ground to a sealed finish, in five passes.

Every project — a single walkway or a full driveway — runs through the same five-pass sequence. It's the order that makes a paved surface last.

01 / Base

Excavate & compact

Dig to depth, then build and compact a road-base sub-grade so the surface has something solid to sit on.

02 / Edge

Set the edge

A true edge restraint locks the field in. Without it, the outer courses creep and the whole surface loosens.

03 / Lay

Screed & lay the stone

Screed a true bedding layer, then lay each paver to pattern — running bond, herringbone or a custom field.

04 / Joint

Sand & compact the joints

Sweep polymeric jointing sand into every gap and plate-compact, so the field locks together as one surface.

05 / Seal

Clean & seal

A final clean and, where it suits the stone, a sealer to hold the colour and shed our Lower Mainland rain.

Services

Hard surfaces and the walls that hold them.

Paver patios

Interlocking and natural-stone patios laid on a proper base, with the pattern and edge detail to match the house.

Driveways

Paver driveways built to carry vehicle loads without rutting — the right base depth and a locked edge restraint.

Walkways & steps

Front walks, garden paths and stone steps that move people cleanly from the street to the door.

Retaining walls

Segmental block and natural-stone walls that hold a slope, terrace a yard and keep grade where it belongs.

Repairs & re-levelling

Lifting and re-laying settled pavers, re-sanding joints and fixing the surfaces that have drifted out of true.

Borders & edging

Stone borders, garden edging and the clean lines that frame a bed, a lawn or a freshly poured surface.
