The Salumi Case
Prosciutto, soppressata, mortadella and capicola, sliced to order at the counter — the case the regulars line up for.
Cioffi's Meat Market & Deli is the Italian butcher and European deli the Cioffi brothers have run for more than 25 years on Hastings in Burnaby Heights — 4.5★ across 720 reviews. This is an unsolicited concept site from X9 Lab Media. The rating and the years are the shop's own; the photography is stock, to be swapped for the family's real shots.
The counter
Imported cured meats. Wheels and wedges of cheese cut to order. Fresh pasta, olives, and shelves of pantry goods carried in from Italy — all under one busy, family-run roof.
For more than twenty-five years the Cioffi brothers have stocked a deli that people cross the city for. The salumi case alone — prosciutto, soppressata, mortadella — is reason enough, but it sits beside cheese cut from the wheel, bowls of marinated olives, antipasti, and a back wall of imported oil, tomatoes and dried pasta. It is the kind of shop where one errand becomes a full basket.
The deli, by department
A quick walk through the shop. Photographs here are stock placeholders — the family would supply its own shots of the real cases.
Prosciutto, soppressata, mortadella and capicola, sliced to order at the counter — the case the regulars line up for.
Parmigiano, pecorino, provolone and fresh mozzarella — cheese cut from the wheel, not the pre-pack.
Olive oil, San Marzano tomatoes, dried pasta, olives and antipasti carried in from Italy — the back-wall haul.
You come in for prosciutto. You leave with cheese, olives, pasta and a tin of tomatoes. That's the Cioffi's way.
