001 / The Shop

Most of what’s on the wall came in the same door you did — carried in by someone clearing a shelf, downsizing a collection, or passing a crate down a generation.

Chilliwax Records is a family-run independent in Downtown Chilliwack stocking both new and used vinyl. The front of the shop is current pressings and reissues; the back is the dig — bins that turn over constantly because the shop is always buying.

It’s the kind of room where the staff actually flips the record over and tells you what side to start on. Bring an afternoon. Leave with more than you planned.

It’s on the window for a reason. Clearing a collection, downsizing a shelf, or inherited a crate you can’t place? Bring it in. We look at everything — one record or one thousand.

  • 1Bring it by. No appointment needed for a normal crate — just carry it in during open hours.
  • 2We go through it. We look over condition and pressing and talk you through what we can take.
  • 3Cash or trade. Walk out with cash, or roll it into something off the wall — your call.
