An owner-run roofing company · The Lower Mainland · since 1999
There is a particular kind of trust you put in the person who roofs your house. You only find out, years later and usually in a storm, whether it was deserved.
B-Cheema Roofing started the way a lot of good trades do — one person who knew the work, a ladder, and a phone number passed between neighbours. Paul has been on roofs since 1999. In the time since, the company has stripped and rebuilt more roofs across Surrey, Vancouver, Richmond, Langley and Delta than anyone has bothered to count.
What hasn't changed is the shape of the thing. There is no call-centre. There is no salesperson who has never held a pry bar. When you ring B-Cheema, you reach the people who will actually be standing on your roof — and that, more than any slogan, is the whole pitch.
A roof has exactly one job. The companies that last are the ones that never forget it.
The work itself is unglamorous and exacting. Tear the old roof down to the deck. Find the rot before it finds you. Lay the membrane, set the flashing, run the shingles clean from eave to ridge, and leave the yard tidier than a roofing crew has any right to. Done properly, you never think about it again. That is the point.
