Walls and ceilings boarded out to the framing — sheets measured, cut and screwed tight to stud and joist on the right spacing, butt joints staggered and back-blocked so the wall stays flat and the seams stay put.

Taping & mudding

Tape bedded into every seam and inside corner, screw heads filled, and two to three coats of compound floated on and feathered wide so the joints disappear. Done right, you can't find a seam with your hand or your eye.

Sanding & smooth-wall finish

The whole wall sanded flat — no ridges, no shadows when the light rakes across it. We finish to the level you need, right up to a Level 5 skim coat for the smooth, even surface a glossy paint or low-angle light demands.
