Steveston Village · Richmond, BC

Hand to hand,
made to be given.

A playful gift emporium stacked with handmade jewellery, ceramics, candles, textiles and decor — every piece by a BC maker.

The Goods

Stacked with stuff a person actually made.

Six corners of the shop, all curated from British Columbia makers. Photos are placeholders — we'd drop in your real pieces.

Why Handmade

A gift with a person behind it.

Anyone can wrap a barcode. A Monkey Tree does the opposite — every shelf is chosen, and behind each piece is a real BC maker who bent the metal, threw the clay, or poured the wax.

Give something from here and you're handing over a maker's afternoon: a candle that isn't machine-perfect, a mug with a thumbprint, a card someone actually lettered. That's the whole, joyful point of the place.

Hand-lettered greeting cards in gold ink
Warm glowing hanging lights

"It's a whole village of makers, gathered onto one happy table."
